A Snack to Think About

Still learning the new camera I went to the smoker’s table to test out some new things I found on the internet. The things I learned were about the three settings and what they met when you capture a picture. A slow shutter speed or smaller aperture number will allow more light in and the ISO helps with the brightness. So if I’m out in a sunny day I would use a fast shutter with a low aperture on a medium ISO and change settings accordingly. I tested the hints and pointers outside and found the hints and tips to be helpful and successful.
Moments before I was about to go inside, it was brought to my attention that a snake was about to eat a whistle pig feet from me by the cabins. I ran over there with my camera where there were people standing in a circle and looking down at the ground. There more employees than tourists watching the snake eat five feet in front of us. I started taking pictures and more people joined the feeding frenzy. At one point there about 10 employees spending time on their breaks, (“breaks”  meaning slacking on the clock), watching the snake trying to eat the biggest whistle pig around.
The snake managed to eat the whistle pig but it took a rather long time for it to fit it down the throat. Like a person who ate three thanksgiving dinners, the snake stayed in the same place for a while before making its way back to its home underneath a cabin. It tried going in the same way it came out but the whistle pig in the stomach wouldn’t allow the body to pass through the tiny whole it once was able to fit through. It slowly made its way around the building and found a larger hole under the porch and slithered away to bed I would assume.

There were a portion of horrible pictures from the frenzy but that’s because I let a friend who I thought new things about cameras tested it out and changed all my settings. I didn’t take any looks of the photos I shot after that until I was in my room and found that all the pictures were dark from after that point. Despite my friend taking pictures with my camera, the whistle pig was more than halfway through the mouth of the snake so I didn’t miss out on any amazing pictures that I’m aware off.
