To Little America and back. More photos than writing.

The first trip with Matilda went well; a little more traction couldn't hurt her...or some heat. None the less, the truck runs and gets me to point A to point B and back to A. Bobby joined me for the ride and thankfully he did. He had one job on the ride and that was to remove the old CD and put mine in there. About 10 minutes out of Mammoth we were listening to some great music in my opinion. About a half mile past the Black Tail Plateau Entrance Road/Ski Trail we ran into a nice sized Buck. He was on the side of the hill doing buck things like eating grass. It seemed rather smart now that I think about it because he didn't have to bend his head all the way down to eat.
We made it to Little America and had no luck with wild life so we turned around. Going the limit around a curve, I had to slam on the breaks for some bison crossing the road nearly hitting one. He turned his head and had the look of, "WTF? I'm trying to cross a road here..." and then continued his way to the other side.

A quarter mile before reaching the bridge back to Mammoth we encountered some Mule?Black Tail? Deer. Rather cute. It made my roommate "awe" at the picture below. We drove five feet before seeing the others on top of the hill where they were doing "deer stuff".
And finally to end the day, we moved past the bison and I got out to take this picture of the sign "Caution Wildlife On Roadway" with the bison guarding the bridge as if the Troll went on a break.
