This is my first official server position at Yellowstone and it seems to be going alright. There were a couple bumpy shifts but I feel that it has flattened out. Christmas Day was spent serving that night. Before I served I skyped with the whole family who were celebrating at my parents place. Many tables that night thanked me for working on Christmas so that they could have a great Christmas experience.
Christmas night was filled with friends and spirits at the employee pub. This season is a lot more chill than that of the last season. The previous season was filled with many friends that I had worked with the previous summer so there were a lot more familiar faces. This season I know mostly everyone but there was something missing Christmas night that I can't place my tongue on.
The other day I looked out my window to watch the sun set behind the mountains but behold there were two elk munching on some grass right below the window. I started to take some pictures just so I would have something from the day and realized I could get a better angle off the stairwell. Below is the result of the funny outcome. It makes me tilt my head to the right, look strait up and stick my tongue out.
12/27 was the first day I saw bison in the park. I was walking back from lunch and saw about 15-25 of them chewing on some grass out my window. I went up stairs to grab my camera but they had already crossed the road and continued to move away only allowing for "ass" pictures of bison.
A sunset in Mammoth. 12/24/2013
Great photos Mac! Miss you all and miss Mammoth!
ReplyDeleteNice sky shot, looks like we have more snow than you do for now!
ReplyDeleteRight now, I would say there is a 3 inch base. With all the mountains around Mammoth, it is hard for the storms to hit. When they do hit, people will know!
ReplyDeleteLove those big brown yes on the close ups! Also like the pink sky sunset!
